Hollywood actor Dayne Matthews and Katy Hart are married and living in Bloomington, Ind., where Dayne has found a solution to his on-camera love scenes—he wants Katy to star in his next film. 

The Baxter family learns that Ashley and Kari are both pregnant, but an ultrasound reveals that something is wrong with one of the babies. As the summer progresses, the sisters pray for a miracle while trying to face the unthinkable.

The Flanigans continue to draw closer to their only daughter, yet Bailey struggles to find her way amidst the turmoil of adolescence. She has always made good decisions, but she wants to experience more of life. Her friendship with Cody Coleman—the young border staying with the Flanigans—continues to blossom in this summer after his graduation.

This book moved me to tears. I felt so connected to landon and ashley, cole, devin and little sarah marie. this book speaks dear to my heart and I cried along with Ashley and Landon. I think from when Landon told Cole about baby Sarah to the bery last page, I was heart-wrenchingly sobbing! My family thinks I'm crazy that I cry over books (except for my female relatives, of course :)..) But your books are something worth crying over! This was one of the first books that I cried in a long time! The baxters feel like everyday people in my life and I constantly envisioning what they would be doing if they were here with me! words can not describe how much your books have touched me. You have a magical gift, Karen, that has touched so many people, including me! I am 14 and your books have brought me closer to God and everytime I'm at a bookstore or the library, I automatically head to your section! I pray you'll continue to use your gift to praise God and his word and share these emotional, wonderful stories with the world! Blessings to you and your family!
