I recieved my copy of this book through the Multnomah-Blogging for Books- program. I really love the suspense of this story. This is the second book of Karen Kingsbury that I have read and already I'm hooked. The protagonist in this story represents so many people plagued by depression and forced to live behind a mask. Thanks Karen for taking on this subject in hopes of helping others understand this disease.

Wow, another great book!  I just started reading this book in April. It is the 11th book of Karen's that I have read.  Every book seems to get better.  I am on my last "stand alone" book and then I will start the "Redemption" series!  I love Karen's books, I wish I would have started reading them a long time ago.

Excellent book, as usual! I could not stop reading this book. It seems that while I was reading this book, I was experiencing some of the same issues with a dear friend that Laura was doing for Maggie. Thanks for the insight and great comparisons.

I needed this book so much. I have also struggled with depression and this book came to me at the right time. It made me feel so much better. I truly loved this book. I read it in less then 24 hours. AMAZING!

I'm the treadmill reader and am totally addicted to Karen's books. I skim all the books at the bookstore, but always walk out with one of Karen's. I refuse to read unless walking. This was extremely hard with this book, good thing, I bumped up from three miles per day to four, and probably would have made it to six if my lunch hour had not been over. I couldn't put this book down. It was awesome! It hit home in a lot of ways, but then each of Karen's book seem to do that. As I told my husband, it is amazing how a Christ follower can relate to all her books. God is so good and I praise Him for blessing Karen with so much talent!

My sister gave this book to me for my birthday and I finished it in about a day. I love the drama and suspense. My favorite character was Amanda. I could just see the words coming to life.

When Joy Came To Stay is a wonderful book, my best by Karen so far. The faith of little Amanda Joy is tremendous and God answered the little angel's prayers because she believed. It also made me understand how praying for others is as important as praying for ourselves. I have read others such as The Women of Faith series, Where Yesterday Lives and many more. I always make sure my mum reads them when I finish. Karen, God bless your hands, heart, family and everything you lay your hands upon

Dear Karen I have only recently started reading your books and I am totally hooked on them so far I have found this one the most challenging I think it is important for older christians to pray for young converts.

Karen, I have read many of your books throughout the years, and I have to say that is was to me the most emotional one I have read so far. I felt as if I was there. The tears flowed freely at times. The reason that this book was so emotional for me is that my daughter gave up a baby at the age of 16. Unfortunately the father fought for custody of her and won against the perspective adoptive couple who were very strong christians. She came back in to our lives for a very short time which was amazing, but then the father took her away again. We found out that he was abusing her, so again as I was reading the book it brought back some very painful memories. My daughter fought to get her parental rights back at that point, and the judge did not grant it. Now we do not know where she is at or if she is safe. We pray for her daily, not a day goes by that we do not think of her.

Dear Karen, I have been deeply touched by your books. I have bought many of them and recommended all of them. I read this past summer "When Joy Came to Stay" and would like to start a program in my church which was mentioned in your book on older women praying and mentoring young moms. Do you have more information on this program or could you put me in touch with someone that could give me information on this program. I would like to start this program in November naming it after Elizabeth whom Mary visited and said said "Blessed be the fruit of thy womb. NOTE: The program was something I made up. However, take the idea to your pastor and I think the church staff would be open to the idea. I pray God's blessings on your efforts.
