Welcome to Karen's Guestbook

Thanks for stopping by my guestbook.

This is one of my favorite sections of my website, because late at night - when the kids are in bed and I've finished writing for that day - I can check in with all of you.

The kind words and encouragements you write for me here in the guestbook are so valuable to me. They encourage me to keep writing, and they convince me that creating Life-Changing Fiction is God's calling for me. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and your heart.

  1. I would like to be Karen's friend and receive her occasional email updates.

Favorite Book: Bailey Flanigan Series

Hi, I'm 16 and have recently started reading your books. The first book I read was Leaving from the Bailey Flanigan Series. It was soooo good and I could not put it down! I have now read all of the books in that series and have also read a couple of your other books. All of your books are not only inspirational, real life stories, but let me sit back and examine my own life and how I am living for God. I babysit three little kids all under the age of 6, and was surprised to find that the little girl's favorite book is your book, The Princess and the 3 Knights. Every time I come to babysit she insists on reading that book before bedtime. Although the 6 year old boy has other books he likes to read, he prefers to listen to this book with his sister. They also make sure I never forget to read the bible verse on the first page. Your books really touched my heart, and it is special to me that your picture book is making such an impact on their lives as well. Never stop writing books! I love all of the ones I have read, and am looking forward to reading many more!!!

Favorite Book: I love all your books. It would be hard to choose a favorite.

I love your books. I have read almost all of them. I love your strong characters. I am a Christian who always feels like I fall short but reading your books I see your characters struggling with different issues and it gives me hope and encouragement.
You are so humble. I always enjoy the dedications you write to your family in the beginning of each book. I almost feel like I know your family. Thank you for such wonderful stories. I can wait for the next one. I hope God always uses you to write. Thank you so much!

Favorite Book: Sunrise Series

I have read a number of your books from the Sunrise Series, to the Longing about Bailey. I am rooting for Cody, and looking forward to reading Loving. The 9/11 Series was the first ones I read. You have a heart for Christ, and our world needs more people spreading his word. I grew up without a father, he died when I was 10 and did not have a good relationship with my mother. The only thing that kept me from going over the edge was my Love for God and our Lord, I had became one of the fatherless, he speaks of from His word. There are other young people who need to know.

Favorite Book: Hard to pick....loved the Baxter family books

You are such a great writer. I have most all of your books and loved them all, but especially enjoyed following the Baxter family and can't wait to read "Coming Home". I love how you incorporate the scriptures. "Unlocked" was an incredible story. I have the first 3 books about Bailey and am waiting for the last book, then I will read them one right after the other.

I started reading your books a couple of years ago. I was going through a hard time and as I was reading through the Baxter Series I could feel my self changing. I wanted to say thank you so much for your books. Now I am married to a wonderful man that treats my girls and I the right way. Plus your books have helped me realize that yes there are different seasons in our lives but as long as we keep God close to us we can make it through anything. Thank you again Mrs. Kingsbury very much!!!!!

Favorite Book: The Bailey Flanigan series, but I love loads of them!

I'm 15, and me and all my friends LOVE your books! You're such a role model to us - your cruises, Forever in Fiction, your adopted sons, not to mention the countless events you're involved with, the amount you do for your readers, yet still finding time to be an amazing mum. I'm definitely Team Cody, so rooting for him and Bailey to end up together... ;) God Bless You and your wonderful family, Karen. Thank you.

Favorite Book: Do I have to choose?????

Karen-
THANK YOU...!! I have read your books before.....Christian fiction is my favorite..! I also love listening to K-Love....one morning they were talking about a series of books you wrote, explaining some of the storyline....I couldn't wait to get off work and check it out. Ended up buying a Nook to keep them on. Little did I know that I would become so hooked..! OR that I would be so sad because I was coming to the end.....but (BIG SURPRISE) the series is a series of series.!! THANK YOU..! I can't get enough..! Was soooo disappointed when I had to wait for the last one to come out.....TRIED to take my time reading it, with little success..! Now I am waiting for Loving to be released. Not only are they good reads....but they really help me in my spiritual walk. I'm not trying to write a book, so will comment more on that another time. JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT YOU ARE ONE OF GOD'S MANY BLESSINGS IN MY LIFE..! It has been a life with many tragedies, but I still am able to realize that God is in control. Thanks again....your blessings in heaven will be many.
Sincerely
Rhonda Kinsey

Favorite Book: ALL

I just want to say... THANK YOU! A friend gave me the Baxter Series to read while I was in bed for weeks after a serious car accident in 2007. I fell in love with these books. I didn't start another series until one day my daughter, gave me a book to read... then realized it was another of yours! I wasn't aware my daughter, Saraya was reading them and HOOKED!! Since that day many years ago, my now 22 year daughter is a "collector" of ALL your books and waits for you new ones to come out! When she heard of your CRUISE, she SO wanted us to go...Though money is tight...I decided, life is TOO SHORT, I booked our trip AND we are joining you on the cruise in March!!!

Favorite Book: Unlocked

Hey, I just wanted to thank you for writing the book Unlocked. It really showed me that God not can be, but IS (verb) a personal God. It also encouraged me to pray continuously, which can be hard when you see no results for a long time. Thanks for all you do, and for making a difference in this broken world.

Favorite Book: Can't decide, they are all so good.....

I love all your books. But my absolute favorites are the Baxter family series. I am now reading the Bailey Flanigan series and it is so good! I have a hard time putting your books down! The relationship between Bailey and her mom has given me direction on how to have a better relationship with my own daughter(s). I look up to the Flanigan's in the way they raise their children and give back and serve God. That is the way I want to be, like them!
Thank you so much for writing these books. They are a great help in my life.....

Favorite Book: Everyone

I have just finished the book about Holden. It gave me hope. I have a boy, who is 9 years, and when he was 2 he was in an accident. We almost lost him, bud God let him live. Today he is handicapped with a huge brain damage.. Just after the accident God gave us the same verse as Holden's mother got for Holden. And when I read this verse once again in this book I once again remember that God gave us the same. Please pray with us for our boy Lukas, that God will fulfill his promise and make something new in his brain. We know that God is able, but sometime it is difficult to believe. Please pray for us. Thank you for you books. It shows Gods power in different everyday life.

Favorite Book: All of the Bailey Flanigan series books

Hi! I love your books! Being a teenager, I am so inspired by your books to live the life that God has planned out for me, and Bailey encourages me to live in such a way that would be pleasing to the Lord. They teach me to value life and to live for the Lord without hesitation. I LOVE your books and to tell you the truth, I think that your should make a movie about Bailey and her wonderful walk with God!

Favorite Book: Tuesday Morning

Karen, This was the first book I listened to that you had written. I have a long commute and these books are wonderful and lift me up. I have always had a great deal of Faith. I did not pray or listen to God's word as much as I should have. I feel as if your book was sent to me by God and I feel as if he is talking to him through your books. The people who read the audio books are awesome. I have listened to more than 15 of your books and love them. Thank you!!!!!

This is the first book I have read by you. You may be sure I will be a fan and read as many of your books as I can. I have also read "Beyond Tuesday Morning". Once I got into the book I could not put it down. Very moving, with a wonderful story line that could have happened. I sincerely loved it. Thank you for sharing your talent with all of us. God be with you.

Favorite Book: Unlocked

A teacher from my school lent me the book Unlocked. She teaches special ed., and I have an adult son with high-functioning autism. I loved the explanations you gave for Holden's quiet, unusual habits. I didn't go to church when my son was young, but he has always known God; when he was little, I would hear two very different voices from his room. When I would go to check on him, he was alone and explained "God hears me. God talks to me." Thanks for writing Unlocked.
