Welcome to Karen's Guestbook

Thanks for stopping by my guestbook.

This is one of my favorite sections of my website, because late at night - when the kids are in bed and I've finished writing for that day - I can check in with all of you.

The kind words and encouragements you write for me here in the guestbook are so valuable to me. They encourage me to keep writing, and they convince me that creating Life-Changing Fiction is God's calling for me. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and your heart.

  1. I would like to be Karen's friend and receive her occasional email updates.

Favorite Book: hard decsion but i would say unlocked

I love eveyone of your books; they have sll touched me in one way or another. The very first book that I have ever read by you was When Joy Came To Stay that was lent to me from a friend.I have since bouught every book that you have written some of which twice because I would let someone borrow them and not get it back I just hope that one day they too will pass those books on to some one. I once challenged a friend who is not a christan artist fan to read unlocked and has since fallen in love with you. You are now one of her favorite artists. I can only imagine how many lives you have touched and I am sure you will touch many more. Thank you for touching me and for using your gift for God. I for one can't wait for your next book.

Favorite Book: A Moment of Weakness

I just finished my first of your books "A moment of weakness". My confession is that my sister lent it to me 4 years ago. I judged a book by the cover and I was wrong! After spending 10 years confused about relationships and not understanding Gods message in this area of my life, this was the last book I wanted to read. As your letter to the reader suggests, this book is to show Gods Mercy and Grace in all areas we face in our life's journey. 48 hours ago I started your book, and now I cant stop calling everyone about it. My husbands cousin just ordered the series and I gave it 5 stars on my Good Read application. You are an amazing writer and I was enlightened spiritually. Not only am I happy to find an author to write to exactly what I am looking for in books, I just found out there is 2 other books in this series, and you have written so many books.
Thank you!

Favorite Book: ummmm, not sure

Karen: I found you (or God had me find you) last summer when I was in Michigan living for the summer without a library card -- then to LA and now Texas, and I have finished all your books. Thank you for unlocked -- dealing with suicide, as a psych nurse I see the pain it leaves behind, and for the gentle way you treated those at Sunset Hills, dear sweet Irvel, I love my Alzheimers patients and we do let them live in their time, and as always I try to be still and know that God has plans for me, thank you for the tears, the smiles, the pain, and as always, for the gifts you share with the world -- your faith!

Favorite Book: all of them

Wow what an inspirational writer you are. Love your writings, your heart, how you fund raise for others in need and speak so highly of your family. You sure are one amazing lady, mother and wife. I have been addicted since reading the first book I was introduced too. I have now introduced others to them. Funny I had many other addictions that were so self destructive and now have a book addiction but I know God would approve of this one. Thanks and look forward to the others you write. Blessings Denise

Favorite Book: Unlocked

Hi, I am a 15 year-old in high school and today I finished your book Unlocked. I have to say that is was very touching, and I have related the occurrence in the book, to events that have taken place in my life in the past year and a half. I was given the book on this past Saturday from a mom that was present at a board meeting that I spoke at. One of the purposes of that meeting was to discuss whether or not our music program was/is going to be shut down due to budget cuts. I spoke about how I have been in the music program, and just about every group possible. But the one group that I admitted to being the most proud and grateful for being a part in, was the group of students who volunteered to play for the special needs students. Sadly though they removed the group from our school now. But for the time they were there, the responses we received from the special needs students were heart warming. Also another thing that touched me was the musical in this book was Beauty and the Beast, which was also our school musical this year. Also, in my personal opinion was our best musical that we have ever put on. But the one thing that hit home, was the unchanging faith of each character. I believe that, is what made this book so precious and close to my heart. Thank you so much for such a wonderful book.

Favorite Book: Absolutely LOVE all I have read so far!

Karen,
I have to tell you that I am not a reader. A few months ago, I had knee surgery which led me to have more time on my hands than I knew what to do with. I decided that I should find a good book and one of my friends suggested your 'Above the Line' series. I thought to myself...sure why not take to reading so, I wouldn't be so bored. I read that first book in less than a week and finished the series in 3 1/2 weeks! By then, I was getting back to feeling better and soon after headed back to work. I figured this was the end of my reading, but something kept pressing me to keep reading your books. So, I moved right on to the Baily Flanigan series and although it may be taking me a little longer with the craziness of my life, I find myself looking for and making that time that I personally need...even if it is just to read a page or two. I just can't wait to read the next page...the next chapter...the next book. I am finding myself being drawn closer to God...inspired. Thank you so much! You are truly a blessing!

Favorite Book: Sunrise Series

I just checked all the books you have written and I have read them all so far and each time I finish one I say it's the best one yet. I have loaned out most of them with hopes to get them back because I hope to read them again soon. I really miss the Baxter family because you made them seem so real that I still can't believe that someday in our home above I'll truly meet them!! I'm 81 and my husband passed away in Dec. 2012 and I now live in an Assisted Living apt. and am confident that God has led me all the way from my contented, normal life last summer to where I am now and I thank Him always for leading me to this place in my life. I also thank Him for your kind and loving heart that shows in your books and for the talent that He has given you. Continue in the way that He leads and may He bless you and your family always.

Favorite Book: The Chance

I just finished your book The Chance today. WOW!!!! This kept me so much. It was heartbreaking but at first but also showed the love of God and that He is a God of second chances. Restoration is what He brings to our lives daily. In this book I can see that! I love your books so much and am looking forward to reading your new one when it comes out in October. I have read all your books so far. You are a God inspired author and your books touch the lives of so many. They have touched mine. I have been able to relate to some of them. Keep being inspired by what the Lord gives you to write. You are reaching so many lives. Love you Karen. God has used you through your books so much. I am a Pastor's wife and love to read and i am always drawn to your books. They so inspire me. I don't always have much time to read with ministry but i to steal some time away for just me and read you God written books.

Favorite Book: Hard to choose - A Time to Dance

I have used your Leaving, Learning, Longing, and Loving Series and the scriptures verses in these books to get me through and motivate friends through a devastating illness for my best friend Sandy Smallwood who is like a sister to me. I read everynight before going to bed and when I thought I was at my lowest - I would come across a scripture verse so fitting for the moment. I have to say you and Bailey have gotten me through so far. I am so grateful. Huge fan. Thank you.

Favorite Book: Found

Hi,

My wife and I have become huge KK fans, collecting over 30 of your books so far. I just finished Unlocked, which spoke to me more than any others. My namesake grandson, Byron Comp III, developed severe autism when he was about 30 mos. old. He is now 19, and while he has become fairly high level, he will never be independent. My son and his wife have dealt with it much better than I would have. But they lost their close connection with the Lord through it. Please join me in praying for them and all the others dealing with these hurts.

In His love,
Byron Comp

Favorite Book: Can't decide

I have been reading the Baxter series for the last two month. I am just starting the Bailey F. series. I have greatly enjoyed your books. I couldn't put them down. Would read three or more a week. I have a great love for reading and have taken way to long to find you. You have a very gifted way of writing. Thank you for sharing the gift God has given you. As a Mom of an adopted child I was very touched reading book four of the Take One series. It was good to see the other side of the story. My son is now 24 and just completed three plus years in the Army. He is a great joy to us and his sisters. Thanks again. I hate to see this series end also. I feel like the Baxters are personal friends, and when Ashley's baby died I found myself starting to pray for her and her family through my tears. Then I had to remind myself she isn't real, but that there are those who are and who have gone through this terrible loss. But that's how real you have made them.

Favorite Book: Have not found one that I didn't like----I enjoy all your books

I have read so many of your books....I am 65 years old and have enjoyed reading all of my life, but I was never able to really think of an author's name when I was talking about a book....that is, until I started reading YOUR books...your name has "stuck" with me and I have never enjoyed a particular author until I started reading your books. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful God given talent with us...I get so involved in your stories, that it's almost like talking about personal friends when I relate to my husband what I am reading.
Thank you again for your "life-changing fiction"...
