Welcome to Karen's Guestbook

Thanks for stopping by my guestbook.

This is one of my favorite sections of my website, because late at night - when the kids are in bed and I've finished writing for that day - I can check in with all of you.

The kind words and encouragements you write for me here in the guestbook are so valuable to me. They encourage me to keep writing, and they convince me that creating Life-Changing Fiction is God's calling for me. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and your heart.

  1. I would like to be Karen's friend and receive her occasional email updates.

I happened upon the Kindle version of your book "Unlocked". It is the first book of yours I've read, but it won't be my last! It was truly fantastic. I plan to buy the book so I can share it with my family & friends! Your book had such a heartfelt, subtle message of God's love that touched me to the core! Thank you.

Favorite Book: Shades Of Blue

I love your books Karen! They have been a HUGE encouragement to me in my christian walk. I have no idea how I ever survived without them! My teen years are so much easier with your books by my side!I love all the books I have read so far! I have read all the books my library has from you! God has given you a great gift and passion for writing. I was first hooked when an old family friend handed me Unlocked. I haven't been the same since! I read your books so fast! In one sitting most times! I will never forget Even Now or Ever After! They were so wonderful! My favorite book is Shades of Blue for a number of reasons: 1. The Abortion story made me sob like I haven't sobbed in a long time. 2. It renewed my faith in God. 3. It made me think more seriously about the sanctity of life. 4. It was written by you!
It has also made me a very committed Pro Life activist in teen lives. Thank you for all you do! The Lord will be with you always!

Favorite Book: Bailey Flanigan Series

I absolutely loved the Bailey Flanigan series and was so sad when I finished it. I live in Indianapolis, so the setting, and the modern time period, made it seem so real. The love all of the characters have for Jesus and the wonderful Christian examples they set were awesome and really touched my heart and taught me some wonderful lessons and really made me think. Thank you so much for your stories! I am headed out to find more.

Favorite Book: The Redemption Series

Hi my name is Samantha. I'm a Sophomore. I'm 16 years old, and a Christian. I am also blind. I can use the internet because I can see large print. This series,Redemption, has blessed me. I am thankful for authors like you. It has really in inspired me. I have learned to listen for God's answer when I pray. I've also learned that you may not always get the answer you would like to hear. While reading this series, my family was going through a rough time. Your books and this series have all brought me closer to God. Thank you! God bless you and your family. :)

Favorite Book: All I have read to date!!

I am a new reader of yours and I am here to say I could not put down the Above the Line Series, I would read until my eyes were bleary and then I would get out my big craft magnifying mirror. When I finished reading the last page of book four I was devastated thinking I wouldn't know what happened to Bailey and Cody. Then I read the Notes to Reader and you saved me, lol!! I went to bible study on Wed. and thanked my friend for sharing these books with me. I have never had a Christian author touch my soul like you have. You bring the bible to life and make the bible scriptures really have a meaning to every day live. Thank you for all of your time, trouble, and love you put into each and every one of these works of art.

Favorite Book: Baxter Series

Along with your stand-alone books, I have enjoyed the Baxter family since the Redemption Series, getting so involved I feel like I know them! When a book ends, I literally miss the people. Your readers see the real world with its pain as well as joy, allowing God to see them through it all -- what a blessing! But a book can also be a healthy retreat, a temporary escape from sadness, seeing good things happen! Thanks for your books!

I will admit, I am normally not a huge fan of Christian fiction...it seems like just because the people are Christian, everything gets wrapped up perfectly in a tidy bow and no one face TRULY hard things. I picked up your book Take Three and didn't put it down, I cried through Andi and Bailey's stories. Able to connect with fictional people and it was AMAZING! I finished at 11:30pm on Saturday night (bought it Friday night) and thank you for having Take Four on Kindle! I bought it and just finished. Thank you for blessing us with your God Given talent and giving me friends that I long to visit again! On my way to the library to continue catching up with my friend Bailey! Thank you, thank you, thank you...can't wait till your new book comes out on 3/5/13...I look forward to catching up on the amazing author I missed until now!!!

Hey Karen; I have enjoyed all of the books I have read so far. There still are few I need to get around to reading. I began reading the books when I came across them at the library. Looking forward to reading The Chance and the books I have not yet read. I just went in and looked at Kelsey's pictures. Take care and have a great day!

I just can not say enough about Karen's writing. It really touches me. Again thank you!! God Bless.

Favorite Book: Baxter/Flannagan stories

I have been reading the different series but not in order. I started with the Bailey Flannigan story and have been so intrigued that I have started working backwards. I look forward to my reading time every day. My husband watches my face as I am reading and tells me he has never seen me more content. I have been going thru a rough patch with my Mom, who is now 90. She has not been herself since my Dad passed in 1997. She has nothing physically wrong with her and suffers no dementia or Alzheimer, but she is not happy being alive. Currently she has been in 3 hospitals since Jan 5. (My father-in-law passed 12/29 and that seems to have put her over the edge). Thank you for giving me another place to be, even for a few hours every night. Please put us on your prayer list. God bless you, Karen.
