Yazmin (Nevada) Favorite Book: First born
One month and a half ago, I went to the Public library looking for a book to start reading. I'm a stayed home mom and sometimes I feel I don't have time for me. I love to read but the last book I read was like 5 years ago. I really wanted to start reading again but I didn't know where to look. I wanted a book that could get my attention and that I didn't want to stop reading. I'm glad the librarian told me about your books because they are exactly what I was looking for! I started reading the first born and today I went to get the last one (Forever). Thank you! I just found out the Redemption series is before the first born, I hope its still okay for me to read it after. Thanks!

I began reading your books a few years ago and I truly believe you've helped me become a stronger Christian. I just finished Coming Home, cried through most of it, but greatly appreciated the powerful image of God and his great faithfulness that was visible throughout the book. He has given you a wonderful gift. Thank you

Mary Jane D. (Peoria, Illinois) Favorite Book: Redemption Series
I just finished "Coming Home" and can't tell you how much I enjoyed the Baxter Family. I hate to see this series end, and may go back and reread the entire series. You tied the end up so well. God really has blessed you with your writing. Thanks so much for sharing your gift with the world. I wasn't aware of the books being made into movies for Hallmark. I'd love to know more about this. I also wanted to let you know that my daughter has adopted a baby girl whose mother is a heroin addict. The Lord is really blessing our family with this precious gift. She has some developmental delays due to the drugs in her system at birth, but because of the love my daughter and her husband have for this little girl and the therapy through Easter Seals she is making remarkable progress. God bless you and your family this Thanksgiving and Christmas season. Looking forward to new books!

Jennifer W. (Manitou Springs, CO) Favorite Book: Longing and Loving
I cannot put your books down and read them in one day. They really encourage a closer relationship with Jesus and are fun as well. I am sharing these books with both a 90 year old friend who is in a senior living home and my young niece in GA. Thank you for showing the young ones such as my son that they too can develop strong relationships and follow God's plan for waiting until marriage to share intimacy. This is so needed in today's world and I wish that you would share the books with my son's school. All schools need to share these with students to encourage their Christian development. My son does not attend a Christian School and this has been an issue as I try and share my beliefs with he and his friends. Even teachers at his school have some very anti-christian views that they impose upon students and my son and I have great discussions about the worldly ways and God's ways. I have read Dandelion Dust and other great books by you as well. You inspire me to write and grow as a Christian. My childhood was rather rough and I have come a long way in my Spiritual Walk but have many more miles to go. You faith and dedication comes through in your books and I cannot thank you enough for writing Biblical based books that are engaging, thought-provoking, and Heavenly. God bless you and your family, especially Kelsey's marriage to Kyle (Congrats!)

Ramona W. (Louisville, KY) Favorite Book: Divine
As a young girl growing up my mother used to take me and my brothers and sister to the library. That was where my love for reading was born. I became a Christian as an adult. I had my doubts about christian fiction. I thought it would be stories about perfect people who always said and did the right things....boring!!! What I got instead were stories about real people making wrong choices, selfish decisions, and walked down the wrong roads. I like stories about how God can make a way where there is no way, give me hope when I feel hopeless and strength when I am weak. When I read Divine I learned that God has a plan for me, there is nothing I can do that He will not forgive and there is nothing I can do to earn his love..it is unconditional. God used Divine to speak to my heart. I will never be the same. Thank you Karen :)
for all of us and there is nothing we can do that He will not forgive and there is nothing that can separate us from His love.

Thank you for the inspiring books that you write. I feel like I know the Baxter family personally. I have cried and rejoiced in their life stories. I will continue to read and be touched by their life struggles. I am a God loving woman and have had my struggles in life, I realized that faith and my love for God has always brought me through.

I just love the redemption series. My friends an I are regrading them now and are also continuing the Baxter family series. We just love Ashley and Landon and their little family. Please keep writing and if possible it would be cool to see a Baxter family movie or tv series.

Brandi (Roberta, Ga.) Favorite Book: Redemption Series
Karen's books provide a refuge for me. I was newly married when I was diagnosed with seizures in 2011. My husband and I had no clue how soon our vow of sickness and health would be tested. The stories of the Baxters and of Katy gave me hope and something to look forward to everyday. Now, I have had a stroke in my eye and am already legally blind. Now Bailey helps keep me strong. God is always in the driver's seat and Karen reminds people of that. As for me, the first face I will see clearly is that of Jesus one day. Amen! Karen, please consider audiobooks. God bless you and your family.

Karen you are a perfect gift from God to all who read your books. To find Christian books was a gift for me. I stopped reading novels years ago, I didnt know why. But now I know God was steering me to you and others like you. But you are no. 1. I cant afford to buy books so I asked our library to kindly bring in each book as I want them. The Baxters have taught me so much, I am about to start on the Sunset Series, I will be sorry to see them go. God bless you and your family, God is good.

Joyce Malpert (Fargo North Dakota) Favorite Book: all of them especially all the stories about the Baxters....I miss reading about them.
Karen....my daughter recently told me that you will be signing at Barnes and Noble in Sioux Falls on November 8th....she and her family live there and until recently I would spent 2 weeks out of every month with them and did that from the day after I retired from my job here in Fargo in August of 2007. I loved being with my daughter and her family and glad I could help out where needed for the two weeks out of the month...now I have an issue with a pet who has diabetes so have limited my trips out of town to just a long weekend or special events like birthdays etc but feel fortunate to have been able to spend the time I did with them for 4 1/2 years....I love Sioux Falls and can't wait to see you there on November 8th. I have not purchased the new book yet but plan to do so this week so I can have you sign it and hopefully get a picture with you. I love all your books...you are such an inspiration!!!!Keep up the good work and God Bless You!!!!! Safe travels to you on your book signing tour.

Debbi W. (Florida) Favorite Book: Firstborn series
I set out this June to read all the Baxter/Flanigan family books from Redemption through Loving. I loved each series for different reasons but Firstborn just gave me comfort that God has a plan for each of us and delights in carrying it out if we would just get out of His way and let him work. That theme really flows through the entire series. Thanks for encouraging my walk with God. I am currently reading Unlocked and loving it. It encourages me as a parent to just keep praying and loving my child no matter what the challenges. Thanks for writing it. I have encouraged my friend to also read your books!

I love this book! I was finally diagnosed with autism last year one week after I graduated from highschool at the age of nineteen. When my mom and I read this book at the same time, we could see ourselves in Holden Harris and his mother respectivly. Keep it up Karen, I love reading all of your books but this one I love the most.

Heidi J. (Mocksville, North Carolina) Favorite Book: ALL - I HAVE READ!
I am writing to thank you for the gift you have given to me as I have read your books! While the Christian aspect is obviously one that caused your books to touch my heart, I have received another gift. You see, I do NOT like to read! I have NEVER been a reader! I am 52 years old and I can't believe that I could even say that now!. I am a teacher assistant, wife, and mother of 2 children 22 & 25. I am currently in my Senior year of college completing my Education Degree and get this with a READING certification. I love helping children learn to read but for me until now, it has not been high on my priority list.
My younger sister (8 year) told me to read "Unlocked", she said just read it, you'll love it! So between my summer classes and all the assignments "and life" and read Unlocked and I was hooked. I asked her where to start and I began with the "R" series and have read ALL of the books about the Baxters. I cannot believe that I just an hour ago finished the last one. I have cried and laughed and really felt the need to pray for this family, just like my sister talked about. My sister told me last night that when I walk the stage and get to give an acceptance speech (because I have a 4.0 GPA) that I can thank the Baxters and the Flannigans for their encouragement and for helping to have a little "me" time!
I'm not sure what I'll read next - I'm thinking the newest one so that I'm up with all my reading friends! I seriously cannot stop thinking about running to the store to get another book! Thank you so much for this gift! It's a gift that I hope I will be able to pass on to children and a gift that I will never forget!
Thanks so much!

I am a special education aide at an elementary school. I've been working with children with different disabilities for over 10 years. Year after year, we've been seeing more children diagnosed with autism. I thoroughly enjoyed reading "Unlocked" as I could relate to the story through experiences I've had personally interacting with students. I love my job and I hope I am making a difference in some of their lives. I pray for each one every day. Thank you for writing a book that is so close to my heart.

Being in a wonderful marriage challenges do arise! Both these series had such a wonderful impact on my life that I realized how important marriage is. We are at a T junction in our lives where my husband works on a farm and I am situated in town as I have my own business and are looking after my parents. I realized how important it is for us to be together and how much I miss my husband and the desire to be together. Through these series I am challenged to seek wisdom from God how we can trust God to let us be together again. I once again realized how important it is to go back where we began and why God put us together and that this is not what He has install for us. Please pray with us that we can experience an outcome soon that we can be together again and back into ministry where be belong. Thank you for giving hope and courage and for being so determined!

After reading "Gideons Gift", I was thrilled to start finding some of your other books to enjoy. I enjoyed the 9/11 series very much and I just finished the Baxter #1 Series. I so enjoyed getting to know the Baxter family, and the messages in those books touched my heart so deeply. I thank God for your God-given ability and your generosity of sharing it with the rest of the world. You allow God to shine through your books and I love that so very much. May God continue to pour His many blessings upon you as you continue to spread His word. Thank you!

You are such an inspiration, without your books I wouldn't have the relationship with my savior that I have today. You make me yearn to wait for the man God has set apart for me, instead of looking constantly. I am ecstatic to read The Bridge, it will be wonderful. Thank you a million times for teaching me to pursue my dreams but to pursue God harder! Much Love!

I love your work and walk with Christ. Keep it up!! You have given hope and life to many people including me. I was greatly changed by your book-DIVINE. The scripture jer29:11 has been my stay since when I was 10-that's how old I was when I read my first novel written by you-DIVINE. You communicated the love of GOD to me in a big way through that book and the scripture jer29:11. I have read many of your other books that I have lost count. I am waiting for your new book-THE BRIDGE. Because I know it will be another great book that will change lives for the best. I pray for you and your family always and for your career in changing peoples lives through the help of God. So keep on writing and touching lives. God bless
