Active Soldiers and Heroes

Our son, SSG Shaun Holman joined the Army in 1999, right out of High School, and was sent to Idar Oberstein, Germany.  Not long after that, his Unit was sent to the war in Iraq. Unfortunately, he lost a good friend there. Later, Shaun was an Army Recuiter, in the Dallas area, for 4 years and was on call 24/7.  Shaun went back to school and was sent to Ft. Campbell. Later, he was deployed to Afghanistan in 2009 before getting housing. Thankfully, Shaun was home last year, but was then deployed again, 14 months later, back to Afghanistan. He will be there until February, 2012. 

A year of deployment is a long year for our soldiers and their families. Shaun has a wife and a 6 year old daughter whom love and miss him very much. Shaun is from Lexington, KY and loves UK Basketball!  Shaun is serving our country proudly! Please keep Shaun and all of our troops in your prayers.
