Active Soldiers and Heroes

Please pray for my 19 year old son, SPC Nicholas Jordan Lester, who is being deployed with the US Army Reserves to Afghanistan on Thursday, June 30. They were supposed to already be gone, but for some reason God has delayed them, which is ok with me. Please pray for a safe trip there and when they come back next year. Help me pray that God will keep his hand upon him and his whole unit while they are there. And also pray for me and my family. This is just as hard on us. The "unknown" is the worst demon I've ever had to face. I know God has a plan for my son and he'll be ok either way.

My son mentioned the other day that he felt that people had forgotten what they do and what they stand for. But I told him that wasn't entirely true, there are a few like you that do and I appreciate your gesture so very much. I know God will bless you for it.
